SPAK Demands 19 Years in Prison for Murderer of Ex-Police Officer

The Special Prosecution against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK) has demanded 19 years in prison for Blendi Teta, for his involvement in the murder of the former police officer, Santiago Malko. As reported, Blendi Teta is charged with ‘Premeditated Murder’ in collaboration.

Blendi Teta is suspected by the prosecution body of keeping the victim under surveillance, having communication with the executors. He was also caught on security cameras gathering cigarette butts at the scene so as not to implicate himself and all the other accomplices in the crime.

Santiago Malko was executed by a barrage of bullets while moving his vehicle in the Fresk area of Tirana, on August 28, 2019.

It is suspected that Blendi Teta, brothers Leonard and Erlis Duka, Ervis Metani, Ilir Selmani, Oltian Loga, Dritan Aga, Aleksander Maxhaku, as well as Fatmir Hyseni, otherwise known by the nickname Doqja, are involved in this event. The only one arrested for the event though is the 40-year-old Teta.
