The Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK) closed investigations over the mayor of Tropoja Rexhë Byberin and his vice Abedin Kërrnaja.

According to SPAK, both of them abused with their duty causing a economic damage of ALL 277.611.520.

SPAK evaluated that the Municipality of Tropoja has not followed the legal procedures “On the Approval of the Territorial Development Regulation” during the process of opening roads, according to the projects approved by this institution. 

Based on investigations by SPAK, the Municipality of Tropoja, with Mayor Rexhe and Deputy Mayor Abedin Kërrnaja, did not specified the legal documentation for this project, and did not cooperated with other competent institutions for the construction of roads.
