Tirana Ministerial, Balla Seeks More Cooperation on Cyber Security

The interior ministers of 26 EU countries landed in Tirana this Thursday, to hold a joint meeting on the Berlin Process. The Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, opened the door to this important meeting by listing a number of topics that are expected to be discussed at this meeting, among them cyber security. 

Balla emphasized the cyber attack that Albania suffered a while ago and thanked the allied countries for the immediate response to help our country. Among other things, he emphasized that it is important for EU countries and candidate countries to have a closer cooperation in this field and to be united. 

"Albania is witnessing its terrible cyber security attacks. I thank the partners for their prompt response. It's time to strengthen the lines of communication. We are on a path that requires steadfast commitment. We remain united in a serious effort for a safer future for the Western Balkans and the European Union," said Balla.
