Tirana Prosecution Takes Man to Court for Premediated Murder in Fushë Krujë

Tirana Prosecutor's Office has concluded its investigation and took Ilir Beqaraj to court for “Premeditated murder” in complicity, “Illegal manufacture and possession of firearms, explosives, and ammunition”, as well as  “Falsification of identity documents, passports, and visas”.

The prosecution, during the investigations into criminal case no. 1944/2 of 2024, regarding the murder of Gentjan Bejtja in the village of Larush, Fushë Krujë, substantiated that the defendant, Beqaraj, was involved in the crime as an accomplice.

The prosecution has substantiated that the defendant played an active role in assisting the perpetrators' escape, transporting them from the crime scene to Hasan village, where they later set fire to the vehicle used in the murder. This has been proven by video footage obtained during the investigation. Further evidence indicates that the defendant’s vehicle has been spotted near the victim’s residence at various times.

The investigations revealed that genetic profiles recovered from the vehicle used by the perpetrators to escape, shortly after the burning of the car involved in the murder, matched those of I.B. and F.P. Both are suspected of playing a role in the murder of Gentjan Bejtja

The investigations are ongoing to discover others potentially implicated in the crime.
