Two minors aged 11 and 13, lost their lives after drowning in the sea, this Friday at Tale Beach, on Albania’s northern coastline.

According to preliminary information, the incident occurred in a public beach area that was not operated by a private entity and was not under state management.

The bodies of the two girls were transported to the morgue of Lezhë Regional Hospital. Police officers and investigative authorities are currently at the scene, carrying out procedures to determine the full circumstances surrounding the tragedy.

Authorities have not yet released additional details as investigations remain ongoing.
