US ambassador in Tirana, Yuri Kim, during the past week, conducted a tour of meetings in the Dibra area, where, among others, she stopped in the village of Sinë, the birthplace of the national hero Gjergj Kastrioti. 

The American diplomat was welcomed by the owners of the guesthouses set up in this area as well as the tourist guides exploring the culture and history of this area. 

Ambassador Kim's message after the visit to Dibër: "Last week, I visited the beautiful region of Dibra to see how USAID supports business and tourism in Albania. Together, we have already helped villages like Rabdisht and Vakuf attract more tourists from Albania and around the world. It is wonderful to see how US support has had a lasting impact on Dibra's tourism sector. It was a pleasure to meet the guesthouse owners and tour guides, learn how to make Dibra's famous Jufka, and explore more of the rich culture and history of Albania's wonderful north. I'm glad I had the chance to visit Sina, the birthplace of the great Gjergj Kastrioti!"
