Veliaj Visits New Protestant Church in Kombinat
On the eve of Easter, the Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj visited the new Protestant Church in Kombinat.
While congratulating believers on Easter, Veliaj expressed his satisfaction that Protestant believers have a dignified space to gather and serve the community.
“I am very grateful for the wonderful work; the building helps, it is a space where we gather and organize, where we feed the children and worship God, but the fact that the work has continued even when there was no building means that the mission is bigger than mortar, bricks and tiles. Now that we have the building, it certainly becomes a little easier to serve in an incredible community, especially here between Kombinati and Vaqarri. In a few years, a whole neighborhood will have been created here", said Veliaj.
Together with the pastor, Ergest Biti and the children of the Protestant Church, Veliaj also planted a tree as a symbolic sign for a new beginning.
On the other hand, Pastor Ergest Biti expressed his gratitude to the Municipality of Tirana for helping to facilitate the procedures for the construction of the Church.
