Vucic Determined to Continue Selling Weapons Despite Plane Crash

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has emphasized Thursday that Belgrade will continue to sell weapons to other countries, regardless of the recent downing of the Ukrainian plane in Greece, which was transporting Serbian weapons to Bangladesh.

During a tour of the display of weapons and military equipment of the Serbian Armed Forces by the local military industry, with the President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, Vucic told reporters that he does not understand the question of why Serbia sells weapons.

"We are selling to have higher salaries and pensions. And we will continue to sell them, in Bangladesh and Cyprus, Togo and Senegal, to anyone who is an authorized user," Vucic said at the Guard House in Topcider, where Serbian Defense Ministry officials presented the Egyptian leader with vehicles of armor, missiles and other weapons.
