When Albania Will Open Next COVID Hospitals

Third and fourth anti-COVID hospitals will open their doors as soon as all beds in other infectious diseases hospitals are occupied, the Ministry of Health announced on Thursday.

The Ministry declared that hospitals 3 and 4 are up and running “to receive the medical staff and the citizens who will receive healthcare service” while guaranteeing that the original strategy to fight the pandemic has not changed at all. All patients will be treated in COVID-3 hospital as soon as it is opened, the ministry added.

Previously, the Democratic Party (DP) raised the concern that “no patient with COVID has been treated” in the above hospital. On his part, DP’s Chair Lulzim Basha slammed up to date economic relief packages on the claim that “the Albanian government offers only 3D video and propaganda”.

“As we have informed before, Covid-3 and Covid-4 Hospitals are copletely equipped and ready to receive the medical personnel that will work and the citizens that will receive the health care. But, as our plan envisages - and as logic requires - Covid-3 and then Covid-4, will open after the beds in Covid-1 and Covid-2 are exhausted”, pointed out the Ministry of Health and Social Protection.
