6 Active Fires in Albania; Ministry of Defence Informs

The Ministry of Defence informs that this Friday there are 6 active fires in the entire territory of the country, but without danger to people and dwellings.

During the night, sources from the ministry say that two fires have been reactivated in the village of Patalej, the administrative unit of Kolsh, the municipality of Lezha.

The effectives of the Armed Forces, the fire brigade, the forest service of the municipality are working to extinguish the flames.

“The fire in Thirrë village, Fan administrative unit, Mirditë municipality has been reactivated, burning forest area with bushes and oaks. Currently the hearth continues with low intensity and the structures are following the situation.

In "Maja e Rrunës", Laku i Mollave and Laku i Thive, Malzi administrative unit, Kukës municipality, the fire continues to be active, but with low intensity. Today the operation has started again from the air and with the forces on the ground. The situation is being monitored.

A fire also broke out in a forest area with shrubs and pines in the village of Mbreshtan, Kolonjë municipality. The fire is very far from the inhabited area and does not pose a danger, while the situation is under pursuit.
