686 Foreigners Visited Albania in Jan-Feb 2023; Premier

Prime Minister Edi Rama has declared this Monday that the number of foreign visitors to Albania has increased significantly, compared to last year.

On a social media statement, the heda of Government underlined that in the period January-February there are 686 thousand foreign visitors who have visited Albania, or 74% more than a year ago.

Furthermore, he added that in February the number of visitors increased by 54%, compared to the same period last year.

"Foreign visitors in February 2023 have increased by 54% compared to last February, while for the first two months of this year, over 686 thousand foreign visitors visited Albania, or 74% more than the same period in 2022", wrote Rama.

On Sunday, the Prime Minister  emphasized that the decision to declare Vjosa a "National Park" will affect the growth of Albania's image in the world. He said that this measure was immediately echoed in the prestigious media, and this, Rama added, should be considered as a good marketing for Albania's image, in the conditions when environmental protection has become a challenge for the whole world.
