The AFA (Albanian Football Federation) has made official this Friday the names of the candidates who, according to the Verification Commission, have received the appropriate number of proposals for the post of president of this institution and the Executive Committee for the March 3 elections. 

In the race for president are confirmed the three names mentioned in the past days: Armand Duka, Dritan Shakohoxha and Sulejman Starova. 

Meanwhile, there are 12 candidacies for the Executive Committee, where many new names stand out but also the removal of persons who have been part of this body in previous years such as the vice president of the AFA, Edvin Libohova, or Bardhyl Minzhozi. 
 
"The meeting of the Verification Commission took place today, which had on its agenda the verification of the legality of the proposals and the integrity of the candidates proposed for President and member of the Executive Committee of the Albanian Football Federation. 

At the end of the meeting, which came a day after the deadline for submitting candidacies for the post of President of the ALF and members of the Executive Committee, after reviewing the proposals submitted by members, it turned out that for the post of candidate for President of the AFA have received the number of necessary proposals the following persons: 

Armand Duka 
Dritan Shakohoxha 
Sulejman Starova 

The candidates for member of the Executive Committee of the AFA are 12, who have received the necessary number of proposals to be officially in the race, at least 2 proposals, are the following persons:

The Verification Commission is the body responsible for the organization and supervision of the electoral process in accordance with the Rules of Procedure of the Assembly of the AFA and the performance of integrity control, approved by the General Assembly of the AFA," it is said in the notice.
