Albania-Greece, Cooperation to Increase Investments
The Director of the Albanian Investment Development Agency (AIDA), Laura Saro, met on Saturday with the President of Enterprise Greece and Secretary General at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Greece, Dimitris Skalkos, as well as the representative of the Greek Embassy, ??Maria Koumoutsakou.
The meeting reaffirmed the importance of the continuous cooperation between the two institutions, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), with a focus on the exchange of experiences and best practices in the field of investment promotion.
During the discussions, the parties assessed the opportunities for further expanding cooperation, increasing investment flows, and developing sustainable projects, which contribute to improving the business climate and promoting regional economic growth.
According to official data, in the middle of this year, the stock of Greek investments in Albania reached the value of Euro 267 million. Meanwhile, INSTAT data show that at the end of the first 10 months of this year, Albanian exports to Greece reached a value of Lek 19.7 billion, while imports from Greece were estimated at around Lek 59.3 billion.
