Albania, Main Destination of Kosovo's Exports
Kosovo's foreign trade during 2025 has reached high figures, with a total of 7 billion euros in imports and 859 million euros in exports, according to Kosovo Customs data published by the GAP Institute.
On the export side, Kosovo has sold goods worth Euro 859 million, with Albania ranking as the main partner with Euro 159 million.
It is followed by North Macedonia with Euro 137 million, while Germany ranks third with Euro 102 million.
The top five also includes Switzerland with Euro 95 million and Serbia with Euro 61 million, while the rest of the top ten is completed by Montenegro, Turkey, Italy, the United States of America and France.
These data show that the regional markets, especially Albania and North Macedonia, remain the most important destinations for Kosovo products, while exports to Germany and Switzerland are growing at a steady pace.
On the other hand, Kosovo's imports for 2025 reached Euro 7 billion, with Germany topping the list this year with Euro 1 billion of imported goods.
In second place is Turkey with Euro 929 million, followed by China with Euro 920 million, Italy (Euro 368 million), North Macedonia (Euro 350 million) and Albania (Euro 286 million).
The top ten also includes Greece, Poland, Serbia and India, with values ??ranging from Euro 279 million to Euro 185 million.
According to the analysis of the GAP Institute, the structure of trading partners remains similar to previous years, but with some changes in the ranking, where Germany has taken the first position in imports, while Albania continues to lead in exports.
These data reflect the high dependence of the Kosovo economy on imports, but also the gradual increase in exports to countries in the region and the European Union.
