Albania Starts Use of Blood Plasma Treatment for Coronavirus Patients
Chief of Infectious Diseases Service, Najada Como, announced that starting Tuesday Albania has begun to use plasma to treat Covid patients.
Hospitalized patients may receive the antibody-rich plasma, which is donated by people who have recovered from the disease, and thus the chances of curing infected patients are greater.
"The victory of this war was made possible thanks to the treatment given at Infectious Diseases Service. It has been a month and a half since we prepared for the plasma treatment, which we started today on two patients. We call on the population that has recovered from COVID-19 to donate blood . It's important. We are a great and united team. We have added staff,†said Como.
