Albanian Caught with Heroin, Cocaine in Romania

A significant amount of heroin and cocaine was seized by the Romanian police, while the drugs, according to local media, are suspected to have been trafficked from Albania.

The narcotics were discovered inside a vehicle in Teleorman, after an operation by law enforcement in a vehicle driven by a Montenegrin.

Packages of more than four kilograms of cocaine and almost 10 heroin were hidden in the car.

On the black market, the drug is worth 880,000 euros.

The leader of the traffickers' network, an Albanian citizen whom the police sent to court for similar charges in January, also fell into the net of Antidrug investigators.

The Albanian, already accused of trafficking dozens of kilograms of cocaine and heroin, was arrested last year in May, then placed under house arrest and finally under judicial control.

So he turned again to international drug trafficking.

But he was caught again and returned behind bars.

As well as the members of his network, the Montenegrin transporter and the Romanian trader who were pre-arrested by the decision of the Court of Bucharest.
