Prime Minister Edi Rama declared this Wednesday that Kosovo, even though Ukraine doesn't recognize as an independent state, has not hesitated to join sanctions against Russia.

This was stated as PM Rama visited Kiev this Wednesday together with Montenegrin counterpart, Dritan Abazovic, meeting with President of Ukraine, Zelensky.

"There is a country that Ukraine has not recognized, Kosovo and despite that, it is doing the same thing that everyone is doing with sanctions and full support. So here we are on a well-defined line of what we are and what we represent. So I believe that's the right thing to do. The people of Ukraine need to know now that in the eyes of the EU, their future is in the EU family. That's the only thing that means getting candidate status, " emphasized Rama.
