ALBtelecom has appointed Mr. Ervin Shpori as new Chief Executive Officer on an interim basis. Mr. Shpori has been working for ALBtelecom for 21 years. Since January 2014 he has held the position of Chief Legal, Regulation & Competition Officer of the Company.  
Ms. Irida Bonati has been appointed as Deputy CEO. She joined the company in 2008 and holds the position of the Head of Human Resources and Administrative Affairs Department. 
ALBtelecom would like to take the opportunity to thank Ms. Bilgen Aldan who served as CEO of the company over the last year, for her efforts aimed at the successful transition of ALBtelecom’s ownership and for all her contribution in company’s past development.  
ALBtelecom, reaching the jubilee of 110 years in 2022, has 743 employees. With around 153,000 landline voice, 118,000 internet, and 66,000 tv subscribers, the company is the most significant provider in Albania. With its 405,000 customers, the company is the third biggest market player in Albania in the field of mobile services. ALBtelecom's outstanding own telecommunications infrastructure includes Albania's largest 4,500-kilometer optical backbone network and 450 own mobile stations. 
4iG, Hungary’s leading ICT and Telecommunications Group, has expanded in the region via new acquisitions and announced on 4th March 2022 the acquisition of 80.27 percent majority ownership in ALBtelecom, following approval of Albanian authorities. 4iG has also recently received the approval from Albanian authorities on the acquisition of One Telecommunications in Albania.
