Democratic Party (DP) Re-establishment Commission announced it would give a statement from the Blue Headquarters this Sunday at 14.00, but supporters of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha faced a closed front door.

Albaniandailynews.com learned that the outer door of the DP was locked with chains, and was closed even after the members of the Commission arrived. The door of the Democratic Party bar was closed, after cleaning.

In the first reaction made after the violent clashes in the building of the Democratic Party, the leader of DP, Lulzim Basha declared that on January 8, Sali Berisha terminated all reltions with the DP.

“With this ugly show of violence, Sali Berisha sealed his last day in politics. The absolute majority of Democrats abandoned him and the criminals with whom he sought to destroy the Democratic Party. Democrats today stood firm and citizens in defense of the House of Freedom, as the only hope of Albanians for change", proclaimed Basha in a social media statement.
