Head of the Democratic Party (DP), Sali Berisha, has gathered in a meeting the 7 candidates in the primaries for Tirana Municipality. 

The meeting was held to give directives regarding the upcoming local elections. 7 candidates in the primaries of Tirana:

Gert Bogdani 
Ilir Alimehmeti 
Adriana Castle 
Enkleid Fejzo 
Fatmir Merkoçi 
Julian Deda 

Meanwhile, a protest called by the Democratic Party is expected to be held on November 12, as the chief democrat Berisha has invited the citizens to be present.

Primaries are a new process in Albania introduced by Berisha as a new way to elect candidates for local elections, who have to compete within DP in order to get supporters vote to represent them.
