Berisha's Message to EU Leaders after Being Punched

Former Prime Minister and Head of the Democratic Party (DP), Sali Berisha has released a social networks statement this Wednesday, one day after the protest held on December 6, expressing gratitude to all the participants.

In addition to some photos from the protest, Berisha also cut out a part of the message he addressed to the citizens and EU leaders during his speech, where he emphasized that the citizens had not gathered in a festive manifestation.

"The most boundless gratitude! Today is the day when Europe and the world can get to know the truths of Albania. This summit is an opportunity for Albanians to have their voices heard.

Therefore, as our tradition requires, we will tell our friends the truth. We are not here in a festive manifestation as we would like to be.

We are here in a protest, with the main goal, that today the voice of the Albanian opposition will be heard in front of the leaders, the media, and the people", emphasized Berisha.
