Cyber Attack on e-Albania, Prosecution Launches Investigations
The Prosecutor's Office of Tirana has launched investigations into the cyber attack on "e-Albania", which lasted about a week, while all services have not yet been restored. The Prosecutor's Office announces that it has launched investigations into several criminal offences.
"The Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance in Tirana has launched investigations into the cyber attacks and interventions carried out against the e-Albania portal, which led to the temporary closure of online services.
The Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of Tirana has registered criminal proceedings for the following criminal offences:
-Illegal interception of computer data;
-Interference in computer data;
-Interference in computer systems; and
-Misuse of equipment provided by articles 293/1, 293/b, 293/c and 293/ç of the Criminal Code," it is stated in the announcement.
