Mayor of Tirana, Erjon Veliaj has commemorated the earthquake of November 26, 2019, emphasizing that the united Albanians are fragile in disasters but strong in the resurrection. 

Veliaj declared that the fatal earthquake proved our human fragility, but Albanians knew how to rise even stronger.

 "A year ago the fatal earthquake proved our human fragility! A year later, we responded to the aftermath of the earthquake by rebuilding dozens of schools and hundreds of homes to test our strength! "Fragile in adversity, strong in the resurrection - we, the united Albanians," stated Veliaj. 

 November 26 earthquake with a magnitude of 6.4 was one of the strongest ever recorded in our country, which killed 51 persons and injured thousand others, as well as destroyed the houses of thousands of citizens.
