Delta variant has affected daily Covid-19 figures in Albania, as 182 new cases have been recorded nationwide this Sunday, an increase compared to yesterday's 132 fresh cases. 

The good news is that there is no fatality in the last 24 hours, while the number of active cases has jumped to 1,035. While 32 patients are receiving specialized hospital treatment at the Infectious Diseases Hospital. 

23 citizens have been cured in the last 24 hours, bringing the number of cured to 130,418 since the beginning of the epidemic.

August will be open for antiCOVID vaccination for every citizen +18 years old, so the Ministry of Health again appeals to citizens to be vaccinated as soon as possible, to protect themselves and their loved ones and to stop the spread of the dangerous virus. 

AntiCOVID vaccines reduce the chance of infection and largely avoid hospitalizations and fatalities. If you suspect you may be affected by COVID19 or have any signs of illness, isolate yourself immediately and contact your GP for testing or call the National Emergency number at unique 127. 

We inform you about the situation in the last 24 hours, as follows: 3,613 tests were performed, of which positive results were obtained with Covid19, 182 citizens, in the following municipalities: 50 cases in Tirana, 19 cases in Shkodra, 15 cases in Fier, Lezha, 12 cases in Vlora, 11 cases in Durres, 8 cases in Mallakastër, 7 cases in Saranda, 6 cases in Kamza, 5 cases in Elbasan, 4 cases in Kruja, Prrenjas, Peqin, 3 cases in Kavaja, Lushnje, Patos, 2 cases in Vau i Dejës, Gramsh, Këlcyrë, 1 case in Kurbin, Kukës, Puka, Berat, Gjirokastër, Malësi e Madhe, Himara. 

There are currently 1,035 active COVID19 patients nationwide. 32 patients are receiving specialized hospital treatment at the Infectious Diseases Hospital.
