Democratic Party (DP) will clean the politics of Albania off the ‘scum of transition’, the vices and bargains of Prime Minister Edi Rama’s clients, promised Tuesday Chairman Lulzim Basha as he referred to the vetting in politics.
On the social networks, Basha emphasizes that corrupt politicians and oligarchs are together against the change of Albania and the political entity that he is currently leading.
"Corrupt politicians, Rama's client media & oligarchs, are together against change & PD. They want Albania on its knees, where they win and Albanians lose. They will not succeed! We will clean politics from the scum of transition, from their vices & bargains", tweeted Basha.
On Thursday, the leader of Democrats declared that the “scum of transition” have used politics to get rich and have introduced organized crime in the field of public affairs, labelling the organized crime as “the scum of society”.
"It is in the interest of all Albanians, socialists and ordinary democrats that politics be cleansed of the sludge of transition, of people who these 30 years, despite the political logo they have kept, have sometimes changed it, sometimes have come up with new logos have used politics to get rich and have introduced into politics the scum of society, organized crime.
They have destroyed the competition in the market by empowering a handful of people, just because they share favors with them at the expense of hundreds of thousands of honest entrepreneurs", said Basha on a Twitter video message at the time.
