Eight wildfires remain active across Albania as authorities continue operations to contain fires in the regions of Tirana, Fier, Durrës, Gjirokastër and Dibër, according to the country’s Ministry of Defense.

A total of 165 operational personnel and 85 members of the Armed Forces have been deployed, while authorities have carried out seven helicopter missions and two missions involving Air Tractor firefighting aircraft.

In Dajt, near Tirana, a wildfire has reignited in a pine forest above the Qafë Mollë tunnels. Twenty-two firefighters and environmental protection personnel are working at the scene, supported by an Armed Forces helicopter.

Firefighting operations are also continuing in Priskë e Madhe, although authorities say there is currently no threat to populated areas.

In Drenie, near Patos, a fire that had been brought under control reignited deep inside a forest. Two Air Tractor aircraft have been deployed to support the operation, with authorities reporting improving conditions.

Two active fires are being tackled in Krujë. In the Abaze neighborhood, strong winds have helped spread the flames, but there is currently no threat to residential areas. The situation near Krastë–Halil deteriorated early in the morning, increasing the risk to homes. The deployment of two helicopters helped stabilize the situation, while ground crews continue efforts to fully contain the fire.

In the Nemërçka mountain area near Përmet, firefighting operations are ongoing, with no immediate threat to populated areas. A new fire has also been reported on Mount Dhëmbel, above the village of Badilonjë, where local firefighters are working to contain the flames.

In Gurë-Lurë, in the Dibër region, firefighters are battling a blaze affecting pine forest and pastureland.
