Farmer's Portal Increases Transparency; Agricultural Minister

Prime Minister Edi Rama and the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Frida Krifca, presented Farmer's Portal, which enables real-time information on markets, prices, food analysis, active support schemes and instruments of financing.

Minister Krifca said that they have already turned agriculture into a large construction site that is being developed day by day.
"With this portal, we respond to the challenges of the time, which dictate that in order to grow, transparency and the creation of conditions for fair competition are necessary. We respected exactly these two principles while building the portal's operating protocols", she explained.

Minister Krifca listed some innovations of the portal which help the entire rural community by making it easier and more efficient to engage in agricultural work.

"There are over 40 workers throughout the country, who every morning go to the food markets to collect the daily prices of over 50 products and reflect them on the portal pages. Similarly, the collection points, the largest of some regions, through the modules we have provided, access the platform and inform about the prices at which they bought the products from the farmers", said Krifca.

Farmer's Portal has information on the support measures of the national scheme and the portal easily directs those interested to the application page.
