Former Enver Hoxha Villa Set Ablaze During Opposition Protest in Albania

Enver Hoxha’s former villa was engulfed in flames Saturday evening after protesters affiliated with the Democratic Party reportedly threw dozens of Molotov cocktails and fireworks at the historic property.

The fire quickly spread through the building, prompting emergency response teams to intervene with water to control the blaze, according to the local media.

Following the incident, protesters marched toward the Prime Minister’s Office, where police had established a cordon to manage the crowd. Authorities have not reported any serious injuries so far, though tensions remain high in the capital.
