The French authorities reacted after the arrest of Behar Bajri two days ago after a joint operation with the Albanian authorities. The reaction states that France will not become a shelter for the Albanian mafia, while emphasizing that this is a message for the criminal organizations of Eastern Europe. 

"France is not and will not be a shelter for the Albanian mafia. This is the message that the French authorities are sending to the leaders of criminal organizations in Eastern Europe", the reaction states. 

We remind you that in the investigative file of the "Metamorfoza" operation, a criminal group was destroyed, among them was Behar Bajri, who had planned to kill Ibrahim Lici and Genc Tafili. 

"Behar B., 43 years old, is considered the head of an Albanian criminal clan. He is also suspected of being involved in the assassination of one of his rivals in Shkodër in the north of Albania in August 2020," the response states, among other things.
