An unexpected operation was conducted this Thursday morning in Fushe-Kruja, to crack down on cultivation of cannabis but also to arrest wanted persons. 

According to the police, the operation is focused on Nikla and the objective is to crack down on the phenomenon of cannabis cultivation, but also to apprehend wanted persons. 

Albaniandailynews.com learns that today in operation are 13 vans and police cars in Nikël and Ishëm. According to the same sources, in the two areas where the police is stationed, 31 parcels of cannabis were identified by the drone in the remote villages of Nikla and 12 in Ishëm. 

Rpid Intervention Forces (FNSH) supported by the Durrës Police Directorate organized the action. There is still no announcement from the police regarding the balance of the operation. Nikla has been the center of surprise operations several times, but the results have not always been as expected.
