Albania’s government ministers are gathering Monday for a special retreat focused on reviewing the work of each ministry, assessing results, addressing challenges and setting out priorities for the months ahead.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. with opening remarks from Prime Minister Edi Rama, followed by presentations from ministers across several sessions.

The first session, running from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., will feature reports from the ministers responsible for Defense, Justice, Finance, Economy and Innovation, Infrastructure and Energy, Agriculture and Rural Development, Local Government, and Public Administration.

The agenda will then continue with presentations from the ministers responsible for Tourism, Culture and Sports, Health and Social Welfare, and Education and Sports.

Each minister will have 15 minutes, including 10 minutes for a presentation and five minutes for discussion.

Following lunch, the retreat will resume at 3 p.m. with a session dedicated to diplomacy and foreign affairs. The speakers will include the minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Albania’s chief negotiator for European Union integration, the minister of state for Public Administration and Anti-Corruption, and the minister of state for Relations with Parliament.

Further presentations are scheduled after the ministerial reports.

At 4 p.m., officials are expected to address issues surrounding procurement processes for the January-August 2026 period. The agenda will then turn to the Reform Agenda, including its measures, challenges, achievements and proposals, as well as the progress of AIC projects.

A significant part of the retreat will also focus on media communication and promotion, with a 32-minute presentation scheduled from 4:28 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Comments and discussions will follow at 5 p.m. and are expected to last for one hour. Prime Minister Edi Rama will deliver the closing remarks at the end of the meeting.

The retreat comes a day after Rama met in Pogradec with Socialist political leaders from across Albania’s regions and parliamentary committee chairs. The Sunday meeting focused on the further organization of the Socialist Party’s structures and new mechanisms for addressing citizens’ requests.
