Greek FM Dendias on Tirana Visit Today
Greece’s Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias will travel to Tirana on Monday, May 23, where he is expected to meet with the Albanian counterpart Olta Xhaçka, followed by extended talks and joint statements to the press. He will then be received by the Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama.
Discussions will focus on issues of bilateral, European and regional interest, with emphasis on the course of Greek-Albanian relations in all areas, the preparation of the Summit of the South East European Cooperation Process (SEECP), the developments in Ukraine after the Russian invasion, Eastern Mediterranean region and the European perspective of the Western Balkans.
Reportedly, Dendias will meet with members of the Greek national minority from Himara and the Archbishop of Tirana, Durres and all Albania Anastasios, according to a statement of Greek foreign ministry.
