Ioannina Court Refuses the Request of Laert Haxhiut for Asylum
The Court of Ioannina refused Monday the request of Laert Haxhiu for political asylum in Greece and sent him to jail.
Albaniandailynews.com has learned that he will stay there until a final decision of the High Court for the asylum request, expected to be taken within the three months.
Haxhiu required asylum pretends that his life is in danger by the rival criminal bands in Albania and the ruling party directed by Prime Minister Edi Rama.
Haxhiu was arrested months ago, while Albania requires his extradition. He is condemned with 18 years of jail for the massacre of Lushnja on 2017.
Meanwhile, Artan Tafani, said that he has to do with more murders that happened in Albania. According to Tafani, Haxhiu was the ideator of the murder of Alban Semaku, Çajup Selimi, Albi Bashaliut, Fridmand Xhaferrajt, Lulzim Qorrit and Dikens Halilit.
He also added that Haxhiu threatened the prosecutor of SPAK, Doloreza Musabelli who tried to kill her and Merita Selimi former prosecutor of Lushnja.
