Grenade blast was recorded this Sunday in Korca area, as a result of which a 39-year-old man named Hergert Spahiu in Shqitas village of Maliq sustained injuries. The police made known that the person harmed person was ploughing the land at the time of the explosion.

According to the data at hand, the citizen was injured in his hand and is under the care of doctors in the Korça hospital.

On its part, the investigators are working on clarifying where the live grenade came from and how the incident took place.

“On 16.05.2021, around 16:10, in the Hospital of Korça, went for medical assistance the citizen HS, about 39 years old, resident in the village of Shqitas, Maliq, who working his land with an agricultural tool type milling machine, has come in contact with an explosive device (suspected old grenade) where as a result this citizen has received injuries in the hand and is under the care of doctors”, said the police.
