Kosovo, Albania Have Sisterly Relations; President Osmani

The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani commented on the clashes between Prime Minister Rama and Albin Kurti during a conference from the Presidency of Albania. Vjosa Osmani said that Kosovo and Albania have sisterly relations, adding that "any discussion of the moment has been overcome".

"The relationship between Kosovo and Albania is excellent, we sometimes call it brotherly, but I like to call it sisterly, because it is the most sincere relationship that exists. Of course, they can be strengthened even further. It is not the situation in the north that has aggravated the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue. But it is Serbia that aggravates the situation in the region by attacking Kosovo. It constantly brings weapons into Kosovo illegally.

Therefore, in defence of the independent and sovereign state of Kosovo in the current borders, we must stay united, all Albanians in the region and together with our allies who have helped us come to this moment.

I am convinced that any discussion of the moment that could have led to disagreements has already been overcome, our goal is common, sovereign and independent Kosovo.

I am committed to achieving this goal, to overcome any disagreement that exists at the moment, but I do not see it as tragic or as something that prevents us from moving forward in this common goal in what you mentioned as irritation", said the Head of State of Kosovo.
