Kosovo President Meets Vucic in Moldova
President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, announced that she briefly held a joint meeting with the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, in Moldova, where the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and the head for EU Foreign Policy, Josep Borrell, were also present.
Osmani said that in the meeting that took place at the request of Scholz and Macron, he asked Vucic to remove the gangs from the North and start implementing the agreements. The Kosovar leader clarified that before sitting at the same table with Vucic, the two sides held separate meetings with Macron, Scholz and Borrell.
"At the end of the meeting with Macron and Scholz, they proposed to have an informal discussion with the president of Serbia, of course the High Representative of the EU, Josep Borrell, was also present at the meeting. We had a joint meeting for about 10 minutes, where it was proven once again that Vucic is not interested in solutions or peace, but in fact is the main source of instability in our entire region. But, I will continue to work with our partners, with Germany, with France, with the USA as our key ally, but also with other countries on some of the issues proposed by President Macron and Chancellor Scholz, and that the US Secretary of State, Blinken, has also proposed. There may be elections ahead. We have a common will, and that is for a sovereign and independent Kosovo to be successful throughout its territory. Of course, never running away from the obligations to protect all citizens, including the Serbian minority", Osmani emphasized.
