Kurti's Reaction after Agreement with Vucic on 'Free Movement'
Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has reacted to the news of reaching a new agreement with Serbia regarding identification documents that will now be recognized by both states, allowing free movement of the respective citizens.
About three hours after the announcement on Twitter by Joseph Borrell, Kurti thanked the EU's High Representative for Foreign Policy, the EU's special emissary for dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, and the special envoy from the USA, Gabriel Escobar.
In particular, Kurti thanked the American ambassador in Kosovo, Jeff Hovenier, for his commitment and contribution.
"Citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, with identification documents (ID) issued by our country, will be able to cross the border with Serbia at all border crossings without obstacles, burden or delay. The same will apply to the opposite direction in the case of entering Kosovo with identification documents (ID) issued by the authorities of Serbia", writes Kurti.
He added that the spirit of principled and equal talks in Brussels is reciprocity.
"Thank you all for your support and patience, especially in these last four weeks. The spirit of principled and equal talks in Brussels is reciprocity. Normalizing solutions must have reciprocity inside, as good neighborly relations imply it", says Kurti, among other things.
