The General Directorate of Road Transport Services (GDRTS) has reacted regarding the scandal of publishing the lists of citizens, with vehicle license plates. 

The GDRTS informs that it has started the research and search for support from the company that maintains the information system. This company has been contracted by NAIS (National Agency for Information Society). 

NOTICE OF GDRTS: 

The General Directorate of Road Transport Services, as soon as it became acquainted with the news on the release of some data on vehicle license plates in the Republic of Albania, immediately started researching and seeking support from the company that maintains the information system, contracted by NAIS. 

While a full analysis will be performed to come up with an official position based on facts, we suggest that this database is accessed by many institutions, with different levels of access, and also serves state and private economic operators.
