Lushnja Killer of Two Seeks Freedom on Innocence Claim

Orges Bilbili, sentenced to life in prison by the Special Court for the double murder in Lushnja, has addressed the Appeal with a request for innocence, as reported on Wednesday.

In the appeal submitted to the Appeal, the lawyer Detar Hysi claims that the conviction of Bilbil was made in the absence of scientific evidence and with manipulated evidence and obtained in violation of the law.

Nevertheless, Bilbili and Anterio Kaloshi were found guilty by the Court of killing Zamir Latifi, Jurgen Hoxha and injuring two other people in Lushnja in 2017 based on film footage and testimonies of relatives of the victims.

In the meantime, he was acquitted of suspicion of involvement in the assassination of Aldo Bares's grandson Xhulio Shkurti.
