Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama concluded a nine-hour meeting with government ministers in the city of Pogradec.

The meeting, which followed a similar session on Sunday, is understood to have focused in part on the government’s plans for “Pasqyrë Albania,” a unified digital platform designed to bring public institutions together in one place and make it easier for citizens to interact with the state.

The platform is envisioned as a modernization of Albania’s existing “Bashkëqeverisja” system.

The proposed platform would allow citizens to submit requests, complaints and other concerns to public institutions while tracking the progress of their cases in real time.

The government’s stated ambition is to create a system similar to a postal package-tracking service: citizens would be able to see where their request stands, while government institutions would be able to monitor responsibilities and deadlines.

Any failure to meet a deadline would also be more readily visible through the system.

“Pasqyrë Albania” is expected to feature two main sections.

The initiative forms part of the government’s broader effort to modernize public services and increase accountability in interactions between citizens and state institutions.
