Police officers in Fier arrested the 45-year-old Florion Dalladaku near the Memorial Hospital, following a violent incident at his family home that left his 80-year-old mother dead and his 77-year-old father seriously injured.

In the footage, Dalladaku is seen inside a vehicle stopped by police before officers remove him from the car. Handcuffed, he is then escorted to the local police station.

According to preliminary information, at around 9:20 p.m., Dalladaku allegedly attacked his mother, 80-year-old Fanije Dalladaku, with an axe. She sustained severe injuries and later died.

His father, 77-year-old Hasan Dalladaku, was also seriously injured during the incident. He was taken to hospital, where he remains under medical care.

Following the attack, Dalladaku allegedly fled the family home in his father's vehicle. Police arrested him approximately one hour later in the city of Fier.

Preliminary information indicates that the 45-year-old may have a history of mental health problems, although authorities have not yet provided further details.

Investigators are also looking into the circumstances that preceded the attack. According to initial reports, the confrontation may have begun with Dalladaku's brother, who had returned to Albania several days earlier from Italy, where he lives as an immigrant.

The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to establish the exact circumstances and motive behind the incident.
