Media Allowed to Follow Plenary Session Works
Journalists are allowed to physically follow the proceedings of the plenary session, in the place designated for them by the upper gallery of the plenary hall; as well as receiving plans from operators for a period of time up to 5 minutes from the opening of the session, the Conference of Chairmen decided this Tuesday.
As of Thursday, the reporters will be stationed in the loggias of the plenary session hall, after it has been more than a year since journalists were forced to stay out of the courtroom due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Until now, the Parliament was broadcast centrally and journalists had the opportunity to follow the MPs only outside the hall. Earlier it was decided that journalists vaccinated or with PCR test against COVID-19 could attend parliamentary committees in the Presidency of the Assembly.
In addition, the Conference of Presidents took some important decisions for the next plenary session. Under the direction of the Speaker of the Assembly, Mrs. Lindita Nikolla, today on 12.10.2021, the meeting of the Conference of Chairmen took place.
After discussions, the Conference informed that it was agreed as follows:
Passing for consideration in the plenary session of October 14, 2021, the requests of the deputies of the Democratic Party: power for electoral purposes in the elections of April 25, 2021â€; “To control the legality of administrative actions and the procedure followed by the executive bodies in the procedures for the construction and administration of urban waste treatment plants in Tirana. Elbasan and Fierâ€; and "On the control of the legality of the actions and inactions of state institutions and public officials in matters that have resulted in the arbitral award 'Becchetti and others v. Albania'";
-Increasing the minutes of the discussion on the issues foreseen in the next plenary session, with 60 minutes, time that will be divided proportionally between the parliamentary groups, according to their representation in the Assembly;
-Allowing journalists to physically follow the proceedings of the plenary session, in the place designated for them in the upper gallery of the plenary hall; as well as receiving plans from operators for a period of time up to 5 minutes from the opening of the session.

(OSHEE) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, for the OSHEE project for responding to the Covid-19 pandemic crisisâ€.
