Former member of RENEA special forces, Arbër Paplekaj, asked the Prosecutor's Office of Elbasan to reopen the investigations regarding the event where the important exponent of the Socialist Party in Elbasan, Pjerin Xhuvani, was killed. 

During yesterday's session at the City Court, Paplekaj also showed the reasons why he had decided to undertake such an act. 

"Neither I nor my lawyer have been informed. I have seen the inaction of the police in the conditions when my colleague was injured, I had no reaction from the police and when I saw that my life was in danger, I was forced to shoot", Paplekaj is said to have declared in the courtroom. 

Also, in the request addressed to the court through lawyers, Paplekaj requests a review of some acts of expertise by the investigation body. 

After these requests, the session was interrupted because the Prosecution asked for time to examine the claims of the defense lawyers. The next session is set for Monday next week.
