New Albanian Ambassador Received by Kosovo President

The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, accepted the credentials from the new ambassador of the Republic of Albania, Petrit Malaj, whom she congratulated on his position and expressed the hope that during his mandate the bilateral relations between the two countries will be further intensified.

According to President Osmani, cooperation between Kosovo and Albania, especially in the unification of foreign policy, remains a priority. 

"Continuous strengthening of diplomatic coordination is in the interest not only of our countries, but also of the region as a whole", President Osmani emphasized. 

Further, in the meeting with Ambassador Malay, she said that Kosovo expects Albania to be the voice of Kosovo in the international mechanisms and organizations in which our country currently has no representation. 

President Osmani, among other things, informed Ambassador Malay about the latest developments in the country, as well as about the act of aggression of Serbia against the Republic of Kosovo, on this occasion, President Osmani emphasized the importance of addressing Serbia's responsibility and applying punitive measures towards her. 

The two interlocutors agreed on the deepening of cooperation in various fields of mutual interest and stated the need to implement the interstate agreements reached so far.
