The speedboat with 1.2 tons of marijuana caught by Greek Police on October 8, 2020, departed from Vlora and has as its destination Turkey. 

This news update on the huge amount of marijuana worth around EUR 6.7 million was made this Friday by Greek media. 

According to Greek media, the speedboat turned out to have departed from Vlora, while its destination was the Turkish state. 

The fact that the speedboat was pursued by the Greek authorities, made the drivers change the route and abandon the water vehicle. It is learned that the narcotics were unloaded in a rocky area near the area of ​​Gythios, while the Greek anti-drug officers managed to locate and arrest the two drivers of the boat. A total of 3 people were arrested, 2 of whom were Albanians. 

The speedboat with cannabis was caught o October 8 during a naval police search near the Gythio area. A helicopter was also used during the stopping action of the speedboat, which was shot in order to stop the traffickers.
