New details have been revealed this Sunday regarding the investigation into the murder committed inside the Peqin prison. 

In his statement to the police, Sokol Mjacaj, stated that if he had not found out that he would be included in the 41 bis regime, he would not have committed the murder that day. 

Regarding the 41 bis regime, he stated that the other prisoners told him, addressing him "dangerous dog, Sokol, that they will put him in solitary confinement". 

He shot 5 times with a pistol, while the bullets hit Arben Lleshi in the neck and chest. 

On the other hand, the wounded man received a bullet in the abdomen, where the bullet entered and exited, but according to the doctors, his life is out of danger. 

Sokol Mjacaj was asked about some concrete names, regarding the murder of Arben Lleshi, whether he was paid or not, but he kept silent and said that he killed him because of the fight inside the prison. 

After he killed Arben Lleshi, some other prisoners, friends of the victim and the wounded, followed Sokol Mjacaj, trying to stop him. 

He ran out of bullets and to create the impression that he had bullets in his gun, he locked himself in the meeting room. 

"I told you, if you came here I will kill you, but in reality I had no more bullets in my pistol", he declared. 

When he closed the door of the corridor of the meeting rooms from the inside, he also blocked other family members who were meeting with different prisoners. 

However, the notification to the police of Elbasan was made late and after the interrogation, Sokol Mjacaj was transferred to the prison of Fier, where he is currently being held.
