Minister of Education, Sports and Youth, Evis Kushi made known this Friday that the Council of Higher Education and Scientific Research (KALKSH) has been constituted. 

KALKSH is chaired by the minister responsible for education and has 12 members, who are well-known personalities of academic fields. 

This advisory body reviews and advises the Minister regarding the drafting of strategies and national programs for higher education and scientific research, the respective policy directions and the preparation of legal and sub-legal acts; primary fields and programs of scientific research and technological development; development of special policies and ways of their financing, etc.

"Together with well-known personalities of the academic world who contribute to Albania but also to prestigious European institutions, we constituted the Council of Higher Education and Scientific Research. 

"I am happy for the concretization of this step, as KALKSH will be without question a very important advisory body to the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth regarding the policies of higher education and scientific research," stressed Minister Kushi.

Among other things, she expresses the conviction that with their valuable expertise and experience, a series of important reforms and processes will be carried forward, as well as will help in the further advancement of the "Pact for the University".
