New Internal Diseases Hospital Ready Next Year
Prime Minister Edi Rama and Minister of Health and Social Protection, Ogerta Manastirliu closely inspected Wednesday the works of the new Hospital of Internal Diseases
The project, which is expected to cost EUR 14.2 million, will serve to 109,000 patients. The Minister of Health stated that constructions are expected to be completed in 2021.
"We want to finish it ahead of schedule. It will be a hospital of European standards. The new internal medicine hospital will have a total of 271 beds, 9 lecture halls dedicated to medical students where medical practices will take place. This hospital will have 7 floors, of which one underground and with natural light inside," Manastirliu said.
The new internal diseases hospital building will be connected to the Medical Emergency building with bridges at all levels, enabling the integration of services, their centralization as well as increase of the efficiency of human resources. The connecting environment between the two buildings will be used to receive visitors and outpatients.
