A person is dead and at least two others are critically injured after a car accident in Tirana this Thursday morning. Police officers were notified of a reported two car head-on crash in an area commonly known as the entrance of the capital.

The accident happened on "Kastriotët" street near Kamza where two drivers were sent to the hospital in critical condition. 

An investigative group went to the scene and is working to clarify the circumstances of the accident.

"On 02.02.2023, on the street "Kastriotët", the vehicle driven by citizen E. M. collided with the vehicle driven by citizen M. D. As a result of the accident, the passenger in the vehicle driven by citizen E. M., citizen A. Gj., about 35 years old , passed away, while the drivers of the two vehicles are in the hospital, under the care of doctors", announced the police.
