Opposition Leader Berisha Reacts to SPAK Request on Deputy PM Balluku
Following a request from Albania’s Special Against Corruption and Organised Crime Structure (SPAK) to lift the parliamentary immunity and approve the arrest of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure Belinda Balluku, Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha has reacted on social media.
In his post, Berisha accused Prime Minister Edi Rama of attempting to protect Balluku, and called on citizens to voice their opinion during a nationwide protest scheduled for 22 December 2025.
Berisha’s statements highlight ongoing political tensions, as the opposition mobilises supporters ahead of the planned demonstration.
